Why Neuroscience?
Neuroscience is the study of the brain and its impact on behavior and cognitive functions, or how people think.
It is a crucial aspect of education because of its implications in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) careers such as artificial intelligence, psychology, and economics. It is important for children to learn about neuroscience to discover how their brains function in order to maximize their potential.
To empower students, we must show them how they can control their own cognitive/emotional health and learning. Teaching students how the brain operates is a huge step. Even young students can learn strategies for priming their brains to learn more efficiently.
Teaching students the mechanism behind brain function and approaches to work that mechanism effectively can help students believe they can create a more intelligent and powerful brain. It also shows them that striving for emotional awareness and physical health is part of keeping an optimally functioning brain.
Through our program, students will learn not only about the technical aspects of neuroscience, but also mental health, prioritization, sleep, and addiction prevention. We utilize simple lessons, hands-on activities, and engaging presentations to foster the effective learning of neuroscience.
